Statseeker NPM collects health and performance metrics on your network infrastructure every 60 seconds and once collected, this data can be viewed in a wide range of network dashboards and reports. These reports and dashboards can be set to update every minute, meaning that even if you have a stand-alone report open, the data presented in the report is continually updated as new data is made available.

Statseeker NPM alerting is driven by a range of items including threshold breaches, syslog content, and changes to a device’s operational status. Most of these alerting triggers operate independently of Statseeker NPM’s 60 second polling, with operational status being reviewed every 15 seconds and syslog content analyzed as it is forwarded to Statseeker NPM.

Combining these elements of dynamic data and responsive alerting, Statseeker NPM provides instant visibility of critical issues throughout your network, but Statseeker NPM’s role doesn’t end with issue identification and alerting. Statseeker NPM also offers real-time (1-second) polling of select metrics, providing real-time feedback on the actions you take to address the issue.

“For single device outages, we find that the backup router going down doesn’t necessarily impact the store, but with Statseeker we can see that those are going down before we get notified by the current vendor, so we can take action before they tell us.” – Store Technical Support
