Statseeker NPM’s High Availability (HA) platform aims to ensure that the service remains available even when faults occur with the Statseeker NPM server. This involves eliminating a ‘single point of failure’ situation by having a second (Secondary) server that is ready to take over if the main (Primary) Server fails due to network issues, hardware failure, or other means.

Statseeker NPM supports both physical and virtual HA deployments, requiring only that the hardware is matched between servers and a dedicated high-speed link is reserved for their communication.

An HA deployment is more than simple peace of mind. It allows for maintenance widows for the Statseeker NPM server itself, enabling you to address potential issues, or upgrade the server in response to changes in network monitoring requirements, while still maintaining a “4 nines” monitoring, reporting and alerting service.
